About the Product

Portulaca, commonly known as moss rose and belonging to the genus Portulaca, is a low-growing, sun-loving flowering plant admired for its bright, rose-like blooms in shades of pink, red, yellow, orange, white, and bi-colors. It thrives exceptionally well in Kerala’s warm and sunny climate, growing best in temperatures between 22°C to 38°C and tolerating intense summer heat. Portulaca prefers full sunlight for maximum flowering and grows well in well-drained sandy or slightly poor soil, making it highly drought-tolerant once established. Minimal watering is required, as overwatering and waterlogging can cause root rot. In Kerala conditions, it flowers profusely during summer and dry seasons. Easy to maintain and fast-spreading, Portulaca is ideal for ground cover, borders, hanging baskets, terrace gardens, and rock gardens.
