About the Product

Thespesia populnea (Poovarasu) is a medium-sized evergreen tree commonly found in tropical coastal regions and widely grown in Kerala. It has broad heart-shaped leaves and yellow hibiscus-like flowers that turn reddish with age. The tree grows well in warm climates with ambient temperatures around 22–35 °C, high humidity, and annual rainfall of 1000–2500 mm. It prefers full sunlight and well-drained sandy or loamy soils, and it tolerates saline coastal conditions, making it well suited to Kerala’s tropical environment.
