It thrives well in Kerala’s warm and humid climate, growing best in temperatures between 20°C to 35°C with high humidity and well-distributed rainfall. Panniyoor performs best in fertile, well-drained loamy soil rich in organic matter and requires partial shade with proper support for climbing. Regular irrigation during dry periods and good drainage are essential to prevent root diseases. With timely pruning, mulching, and balanced fertilization, this variety ensures higher and consistent yields, making it ideal for commercial spice cultivation.
