About the Product
Bush Pepper, a compact and high-yielding form of Piper nigrum, is ideal for homesteads and terrace gardens in Kerala. Unlike traditional climbing pepper vines, bush pepper grows in a shrubby form without the need for support, making it easy to manage in pots or small spaces. It thrives well in Keralaβs warm and humid climate, growing best in temperatures between 20Β°C to 35Β°C with good humidity and partial shade. Bush Pepper performs best in fertile, well-drained loamy soil rich in organic matter. Regular watering is essential, especially during dry periods, but waterlogging should be avoided to prevent root diseases. With proper fertilization, mulching, and light pruning, the plant produces quality pepper spikes, making it suitable for home cultivation and small-scale spice production in Kerala conditions.
