Pathrirani performs best in deep, fertile, well-drained loamy soil rich in organic matter and prefers partial shade during early growth stages. Regular irrigation is essential during dry periods, while proper drainage must be ensured to prevent waterlogging and root diseases. With timely fertilization, mulching, and proper field management, this variety ensures steady growth and consistent yield, making it suitable for both homestead cultivation and commercial spice plantations in Kerala conditions.
