About the Product

Nelli Red is a colored variety of Indian gooseberry (amla) known for its reddish tinge and nutrient-rich, tangy fruits widely used in traditional preparations. It grows well in tropical regions like Kerala, thriving in temperatures between 20°C and 35°C and tolerating heat up to 40°C as well as mild cool conditions. The tree prefers a warm climate with annual rainfall of 600–2000 mm and can withstand short dry spells once established. Well-drained sandy loam or light clay soils, full sunlight, and moderate humidity are ideal for healthy growth and good fruit production.
