Mallika mango (Mangifera indica var. Mallika) is a hybrid tropical mango variety prized for its sweet, aromatic, and fiberless flesh, with a rich flavor and deep orange color. It grows well in warm tropical climates like Kerala, with ideal temperatures between 24°C and 32°C. The tree prefers moderate to high humidity, well-drained fertile soil, and annual rainfall of 750–2000 mm, with a short dry period before flowering to encourage fruit set. It requires full sunlight for good flowering and fruiting and is sensitive to frost and waterlogging, making Kerala’s monsoon climate favorable for its cultivation.
