Cattimon mango (Mangifera indica var. Cattimon) is a tropical mango variety known for its medium-sized, sweet, and aromatic fruits with smooth, fiberless pulp. It grows well in warm tropical climates like Kerala, with ideal temperatures between 24°C and 32°C. The tree prefers moderate to high humidity, well-drained fertile soil, and annual rainfall of 750–2000 mm. It requires full sunlight for optimal flowering and fruiting and is sensitive to frost and waterlogged conditions, making Kerala’s tropical monsoon climate ideal for its cultivation.
