It grows well in Kerala’s warm and humid tropical climate, thriving best in temperatures between 20°C to 35°C. Mahogany prefers full sunlight and performs best in deep, well-drained loamy or laterite soil rich in organic matter. It is moderately drought-tolerant once established but benefits from regular watering during early growth stages, while waterlogging should be avoided. In Kerala conditions, the tree shows steady growth with proper spacing and minimal maintenance.
