It thrives in warm tropical to subtropical climates like Kerala, with ideal temperatures between 20°C and 35°C, moderate to high humidity, and regular rainfall. The plant prefers well‑drained loamy soil and full sun to partial shade and is hardy with low maintenance, making it suitable for Kerala’s warm, humid monsoon conditions without frost or waterlogged soil.
