About the Product
Kudampuli (Garcinia gummi-gutta), also known as Malabar tamarind, is a tropical evergreen tree native to the Western Ghats and widely grown in Kerala. Its round, sour fruits are commonly used in local cuisine, especially in fish curries. The plant thrives in warm, humid tropical climates with ideal temperatures between 20Β°C and 35Β°C. It requires high rainfall, well-drained soil, and cannot tolerate frost or waterlogged conditions, making Keralaβs monsoon climate highly suitable for its growth.
