About the Product
Ardisia elliptica — commonly called kilinjaval (also known as coralberry, duck’s eye or shoebutton ardisia) — is a small evergreen tropical shrub that produces clusters of small reddish-purple to black berries and is often found in warm, humid tropical regions of South and Southeast Asia, including parts of India. It thrives best in temperatures typical of tropical climates (generally above about 20 °C), with regular rainfall and high humidity, preferring bright light to partial shade and well-drained soil rather than waterlogged conditions. The warm, wet climate of regions like Kerala, India, with high humidity and stable warm temperatures throughout the year, suits its growth if soil moisture is managed and plants are shielded from extreme sun or drying winds
