Sankara jackfruit is a tropical jackfruit cultivar known for its sweet, aromatic flesh and good fruit quality, suited for fresh consumption and local markets. It grows best in warm temperatures around 25 °C – 35 °C with high humidity and well-distributed rainfall, and it does not tolerate frost or prolonged cold. Like other jackfruit types, it prefers full sun, fertile well-drained soils, and annual rainfall of about 1200-2500 mm. Regions like Kerala, India, with their hot, humid, monsoon-influenced climate, provide ideal conditions for Sankara jackfruit trees to thrive and fruit well.
