About the Product

Ice cream beans, scientifically known as Inga edulis, are tropical leguminous trees valued for their sweet, cottony pulp surrounding edible seeds. They grow well in warm, humid climates like Kerala, thriving at ambient temperatures of 20°C to 30°C. The tree prefers areas with annual rainfall of 1200–2500 mm, well-drained fertile soils, and partial to full sunlight. Under suitable conditions, a mature tree can produce long pods filled with sweet, edible pulp, often eaten fresh or used in desserts.
