Dracaena compacta is a compact, slow-growing ornamental plant known for its dense rosettes of dark green, glossy leaves arranged tightly around upright stems. It is a popular indoor plant because of its neat structure and low maintenance nature. In Kerala’s warm and humid climate, it grows well indoors or in shaded balconies with bright indirect light. It prefers well-drained potting mix and moderate watering—allow the topsoil to dry slightly between watering, as overwatering can cause root rot. Ideal temperatures range between 18–32°C, which suits Kerala conditions. It tolerates average humidity but performs even better in higher humidity. With minimal care, Dracaena Compacta remains an elegant, long-lasting foliage plant.
