About the Product

Tropical avocado refers to West Indian–type avocados of Persea americana that are adapted to hot, humid lowland climates. These trees produce smooth-skinned, medium to large fruits with lighter, less oily flesh compared to temperate types. They grow best in 22 °C to 32 °C and are sensitive to frost, thriving in warm, frost-free regions with moderate to high humidity. Tropical avocados require well-drained loamy soil, 1,000–2,000 mm annual rainfall, and full sunlight, but cannot tolerate waterlogging. In regions like Kerala, the warm temperatures and humid climate are suitable, provided planting is done on raised beds or well-drained sites to manage heavy monsoon rains.
