It thrives well in Kerala’s warm and humid climate, growing best in temperatures between 18°C to 30°C with high humidity. Anthurium prefers bright indirect light or filtered shade, as direct sunlight can scorch its leaves and flowers. It grows best in a well-drained, porous potting mix rich in organic matter such as cocopeat, bark, and compost. Regular but moderate watering is essential to keep the medium moist, while waterlogging must be avoided to prevent root rot. With proper humidity, occasional fertilization, and good air circulation, Anthurium produces blooms throughout the year, making it ideal for indoor décor, shaded balconies, and ornamental landscaping in Kerala conditions.
