Yellow dragon fruit (Selenicereus megalanthus) is a climbing cactus valued for its bright yellow spiny skin and sweet, aromatic white pulp. It grows best in warm tropical climates with ideal temperatures between 20°C and 35°C and does not tolerate frost or prolonged cold below 10°C. In regions like Kerala, it thrives in well-drained soils under full sunlight with moderate rainfall and low waterlogging. The plant prefers a dry to moderately humid climate and requires good drainage to prevent root rot.
